After moving to Tribeca over two decades ago, I stumbled upon a premie Kula on the way to the train. I went, was hands down hooked by the first hip opener, and the rest is history. I started teaching at Kula in 2005 and opened Kula Williamsburg (alongside my partner in crime Schuyler Grant) in 2010 in order to spread the Kula love throughout my home borough of Brooklyn. We birthed Kula Soho in 2016 and continue to keep our stake in the ground in both locations. I am at the helm of the 200 hour Kula Flow Foundations teacher training program, lead an annual offering of our 75 hour advanced TT, and offer an 8 week mentorship program for graduates of our 200 and 75 hour programs. I have written for Yoga Journal and was named one of America's top 100 influential teachers. As a teacher, I strive to include the perfect alchemy of precise physical instruction, intelligence, intention and space into my classes. My passion for anatomy and sequencing are clear in my teaching. As a teacher trainer, I want to unpack the mystery of putting together an inspired vinyasa sequence so that you can step away from the stress of "following a methodology", cultivate your authentic voice and enjoy your job! The respect that I have for all of my teachers who have walked this path before me runs deep.
