After my first Kula class, I knew I had found my home. I learned more in one hour through solid adjustments, thoughtful words, and intelligent, vigorous sequencing than I had in the past decade of attending yoga...

Philosophy in the Garden

-

at Kula Yoga Project (Williamsburg) (85 N 3rd Street
(Berry & Wythe) Brooklyn, NY 11249)

How do we reduce suffering? What is consciousness? Is there something bigger than ourselves? These questions are at the heart of yoga but often go unaddressed in a typical vinyasa class. Our weekly gatherings offer no-expertise-necessary reflections on yoga philosophy. We will also explore the ways in which the yoga industry engages in appropriation and spiritual bypassing, among other issues.  These will not be lectures but informal group discussions guided by select texts. Come for the yoga, stay for the potential life lessons and good company. All are welcome. Rebecca will facilitate (but has no answers)!

This class is FREE and open to all.
