(Suggested props: if you have a bolster and a few blankets grab them, but if not it's just for our first pose and you can use rolled blankets or blocks for our supported backbend. If you have a lacrosse ball or tennis or golf ball grab it, if not don't worry you can use the edge of your block. Also if you have a sandbag grab it, but don't stress if you don't you can do our tree pose without it).

If this class had a 'theme' it would be chest opening and backbending. We do a warrior 1 and end with some half wheel variations. You will also do a tree and a warrior 2 and a triangle. And your inversion time is yours to do as you choose!

(Int/Adv) Kula Flow is vinyasa (or flow) style yoga with an emphasis on creativity and alignment. Classes are inventive and thoughtful sequences of sun salutations, standing & seated postures, back bending, and inversions—guided by a steady breath to tone and calm the mind. Most teachers also use bandha work to open and strengthen the inner body. (Classes differ in tone and vigor depending on the teacher, so if you have special needs/interests please contact [email protected].) For students with a regular yoga practice.
